Councilor of Global Edu Light Kakoli Buzarbarua arrested in JEE scam

GUWAHATI: The police arrested a lady, Kakoli Buzarbarua, Councilor of Global Edu Light, on Friday night in connection with the JEE (Main) examination scam in the State. She was arrested from the Rupnagar area in the city.

According to police sources, such coaching centres have long been involved in such examination scams in the State. "It has come to light that a number of employees of Global Edu Light like RubulMedhi of Nalbari, NituKalita, BanjitDeka and many others have been involved in the examination scam. The owner of Global Edu Light has been absconding. They even adopt technologies like spy cameras inside shirts and microchips in ears by candidates in examination halls," a police source said. The police claim to have arrested KakoliBuzarbarua based on some evidences. Investigation is on.
